You're here because you want to display your name or your site's name, as well as the clickable link to your site, on the first page of one of my PDF files, so that when people read the branded PDF file, they'll know about your site.

They'll read the file and even pass it on to others, because they find the contents of the PDF file useful. At the same time, your site will get free advertising because it will appear on the first page of the special report.

In addition, your site will get backlinks from search engines because they will index those PDF files. And since your site will appear in the first page, that's an additional link from the search engines to your site.

You end up winning both ways, because people and search engines will see your site.

Here's how to do it.

Step 1: Make sure you have a "brandable" PDF file. Here's the available brandable PDF:

Introduction to Web Marketing (brandable)
viloria-web-marketing-brandthis.pdf
To download, rightclick on the above link, then left-click on "Save File As..."

Step 2: Download PDFBrand.exe and run it.

Step 3: In PDFBrand, click on File - Open then look for the PDF file you want to brand.

Step 4: Find the brandable PDF that you've just downloaded, then click on the Open button.

Step 5: Fill in your name (or your site's name), and your web site (starting with www, not with http://)

Step 6: Click on the Brand! button.

Step 7: Click on the Save button (looks like a diskette) and save the PDF file under a different file name. For example, viloria-web-marketing-branded.pdf

And that's it! If you open your newly-saved PDF file, please check if the first page contains your name and your site's clickable address.

When you offer the PDF file for download in your web site, people who download it will pass the file along to their friends. And that's how others will get to know about YOUR web site. Imagine, when they read or print out the useful PDF report (i.e., intro to web marketing), your site gets free advertising!

Please note that once you've branded the PDF file, future readers will not know that it is brandable, because your own site's link will overwrite my "Brand This PDF" link. The only way they will know about the brandable (or brandible) option is if they downloaded the PDF right here on my site.

Thank you for helping others know about my PDF reports. I hope that this form of viral marketing, through the distribution and posting of PDF files online, will help both of us get more visitors to both our sites. :-)
