At first I thought it was amazing that some people are that easily persuaded, but then I realized that a similar script worked on me once. Dale & Thomas Popcorn has a pop-up that offers you a good deal on an additional item as you proceed into their checkout process. Of course, it's a little easier to persuade me when delicious popcorn is involved.
