Do you want to know how to create video opt-in pages, without having to subscribe to a service such as the Affiliate Silver Bullet? It needs a bit of web design and html skills, some patience, and some software.
So let's start building an opt-in page with video today...
If you're a regular reader of this site, you've probably noticed those opt-in boxes appearing near the start of all the blog posts here. Sometimes, it's just your usual sign-up form. Other times, the form contains a video box. That's what I mean by a video opt-in page.
(If you refresh this page a few times, you might even get to see an example what I'm talking about.)
Here are the basic steps to creating it:
1. Use a graphics program to layout your video opt-in page. Make sure you have areas for the video (250 x 200 pixel area), the boxes for the Name and Email (height of 32 pixels), and your sign-up button.
2. Use software such as ShoeString Dicer (for some reason it won't run on my WinXP machine), which will cut-up your image and create the HTML needed to convert your image to an HTML table.
[Since Shoestring Dicer didn't run on my machine, I just manually cut each key segment of the large image, and then manually created the HTML code. Whew! Not fun at all.]

In the above example, I first created the graphic, then manually selected and cut-out those rectangular areas and saved them as separate images. Next, typed some HTML code to combine those separate images using tables, to make them look like they're just one block.
(It wasn't easy.... That's why I treated myself to a cool glass of Pandan Iced Tea afterwards.)
3. Edit the HTML code, and add your autoresponder code, as well as the reference to the video (i.e., YouTube embed code).
Does it sound like a lot of work? Definitely. That's why some people are thinking of selling videoskins to help you quickly create those video opt-in boxes. Check out the example of Jay Jennings below:

Looks attractive, doesn't it? And yes, the person who designed that spent a LOT of time creating it. That's probably why many people are grabbing the instant video opt-in packages of the Affiliate Silver Bullet system (10 new vid opt packages every month for only $37/month, although I hear the price is going up soon).
