Twitter Traffic

How can a cell phone or a series of one-liners online help drive traffic to your website? You and your new blog can gain more exposure and additional traffic with the help of Twitter.
Twitter is a service that allows you to easily post (via your computer or your cell phone) one-liners about whatever it is you're doing at the moment. People who are curious about you can "monitor" you.
Sometimes, you can become popular enough to make it to the Twitter Public Timeline. Since that page refreshes every four minutes, you get your brief moment of fame.
But there's something more on that PR6 page. There's a Featured Twitterers column on the right.
One of those featured is TrippingOnWords, and their Twitter page is a PR5 page. On that page, you'll find a link to their Blogspot site.
Imagine, a PR5 with a direct link to a free blog site.
Some folks post URLs to their latest web site updates. Since Twitter has a 140 character limit, people use url shortening services when posting links to their latest entries. In this age of WordPress mania, you can imagine how long typical URLs are, right?
These one-liner updates appear not only on the web, but also in the cell phones of some people. Now if only there were a way to deliver your latest posts via cell phone to interested readers, then the traffic boosting power of Twitter will be complete.

How's the income from donations Manuel?
What income, Ely?
I'm thinking of removing that Donation box, but these things have a strange way of exploding when you least expect it. Such as when relatives stumble upon your site. =)
why were you thinking of removing it? it *could* be a hint it's not productive...but you *could* just be letting us think so...
Hi C5, I'm still on the road and access to the internet is spotty at best. Anyway, to answer your question: the donation links are not earning at all. That's why I'm tempted to remove them.
I hesitate to do so, however, because I've seen a lot of "late bloomer" types of online earners. They have a tendency to earn when you least expect.
Haven't been here for a long while...been busy with too much stuff...editing website (actually hubby does that, i just have to complete the missing info) which is about 300 pages already, i think..haven't even updated my Ciphers, Crypts and Codes blog!
By the way, congratulations for winning an award at Blog3...i totally missed the event myself though I was ready to go even just for Friday.
Anyway, I'd like to invite you to respond to a meme which I responded to the first time myself... it's at http://ceefive.i.ph. I hope you don't mind...
Thanks, Cecile! Too bad I missed the actual ceremonies, though.
Here's my response to the four things meme, although I don't know whom to tag...
