Remember my previous post about the web page autoresponder called Turbo Easy Content Delivery? Well, the initial tests yielded some disappointing issues.

For some reason, the script wouldn't run on websites hosted on DreamHost. They do run, however, on sites hosted elsewhere. I'm still searching for the tweak that will allow TECD to run in DH.

Now I know why the script is inexpensive:

  • Member management offers the bare minimum.
  • The online help file is just bare bones.
  • Security is... well...

Let's just say that you're better off providing free content if you plan to use the Turbo Easy Content Delivery program, because people can easily view content scheduled for next week, today. If you plan to sell information delivered by installment, you might be better off just using an autoresponder service such as Aweber.

Oh well. I had such high hopes before for TECD (for non-free content). Too bad this had to happen while I hear firecrackers exploding around me here in Manila.

Anyway, for the coming year, let's try working with both free and non-free content.
