Can you get buried under an avalanche of web site traffic thanks to your rebrandable PDF files? You can, if you manage to find the key persons in viral marketing.

A rebrandable PDF is a file which contains editable areas. For example, if your PDF report contains affiliate links to this or that merchant, you can make those affiliate links rebrandable.

Why would others want to put in their own affiliate links in the rebranded portion? Perhaps they don't have the time to write the report that you did. Imagine, you saved them a lot of time, and all they need to do is plug in their data and distribute the PDF.

Will this form of viral marketing work?

It can, if you reach the following people:

  1. Those willing to take the time to rebrand your PDF because they're not afraid to download your EXE rebrander program.

Finding such people can be quite a challenge, as a number of affiliate program managers will tell you. People who have fairly popular sites are busy posting articles, that they sometimes balk when it comes to branding and uploading PDFs.

Yes, don't let them exert effort. Do it for them, and then hand them the PDF file on a CD. Hand them ten CDs. Catch those speakers in seminars and conferences so that they can be the ones to distribute those CDs to their fans.

Of course, this assumes that your report is worth redistributing in the first place. If your CDs get tossed to the wastebasket, well... Try not to take things too personally.

It's not a walk in the park, but if you can create good PDFs and promote them to publishers with a fairly large audience, then this form of viral marketing will bring you more traffic.
