If you're trying to make money online, you're probably also wasting a lot of web spaces in the process. These are places in your web site that people go to, which you are not monetizing.
The first step in reclaiming the wasted space lies in first identifying them...
1. Your missing pages. Most websites issue a standard Error 404 page if someone lands on a non-existent page in your site. Typically, the error page will simply state that the page does not exist, and that the visitor can perhaps check out the Sitemap for a list of all pages in the site.
2. The Post-Contact page. What happens when people try to send you a message via your Contact form, or your Comment box? Are they brought to a "Thank you for sending us an email" or "Your comment is under moderation" page?
3. Thanks For Subscribing page. When people try to sign-up for your newsletter, are they brought to a generic "Thanks" page, or even one which explains how they can Confirm their requested subscription?
I'm guilty of this. I have experimented, however, with some Thank-You pages which either have just text, or text and images, or even video (to increase the number of people who actually go and confirm their subscription). The results have been mixed, though.
Still, you might consider adding more content to your thank-you pages.
4. Thanks For Confirming page. So your subscriber has actually confirmed. Now what? Will you simply show them a "Thank you for confirming" page? Well, you can pretty much do anything at this point. You can even send them to a salesletter page, right?
[PREMIUM] There is another special "wasted" page. And this Web Real Estate Recovery tactic will be implemented by the techies in the sites of those who have availed of the Host4Profit 1028 Promo, to help maximize the amount of revenue they can generate from their web sites.
