Let's continue the series about The Video Boss, review what was offered in the salesletter (or rather, sales video), and see if we can use video marketing to make money online...

The Video Boss sales video (not a traditional text sales letter) runs a little over 34 minutes. Here are the specs of that MP4 video:

Format: AAC, Stereo (L R), 32.000 kHz, H.264, 710 x 440 pixels
Movie FPS: 24.00
Data Rate: 537.64 kbits/sec

In the introduction, Andy Jenkins tells you a quick story behind The Video Boss coaching program, and how this idea began way back in 2005.

He then eventually segues into what the program will teach you, which is mainly to show you how to create:

  • Killer Marketing Videos
  • Sales Videos That Close
  • Even Your OWN Video Products

The Video Boss Modules

TVB is a nine-week coaching program. Modules 1 and 2 will be released in Week 1, Module 3 will be released in Week 3, while Module 4 will be released in Week 4.

In the Development phase, you will learn how to create the message that you want your video to send.

You'll also learn about Rapid Storyboarding, which is a process that helps you understand understand and determine exactly what is going to be seen and heard in your video.

You'll also tackle the subject of Video Style, and why Andy Jenkins prefers PowerPoint over Live Video.

  • Scripting
  • Graphics
  • Soundtrack
  • Visuals

Do you remember the FAB process in the free video tutorial #1 presented by Andy Jenkins during the pre-launch of The Video Boss?

  • Lead generation video scripts

Module 5: Traffic Boss

Want to know how to get your videos distributed in many places?

You'll get SEO tips such as how to get your videos to rank high in the search engines, as well as how to use social media to drive traffic to your video and your websites.

You'll also learn about new or emerging online communities where you can further spread the word about your video.

A team of experts will help you with topics such as

  • Video SEO [Dan Thies and Leslie Rohde, SEO Brain Trust]
  • Link Getting (or Gaining Backlinks)
  • Social Media Marketing [Don Crowther]
  • How To Dominate YouTube [Paul Colligan]
  • Video Distribution [Mike Koenigs]

In Video SEO, you'll learn how to choose the keywords to target, how to optimize your linking structure, how to create search engine friendly video web pages, how to track your performance and adjust your video marketing strategy accordingly, and other new (or not often talked about) topics such as:

- Video Sitemaps
- Transcription Optimization
- Media RSS Feeds
- and many more

In Link Getting, you'll understand how search engines judge links. This will help you quickly asses which links to go after. You'll also be told where the best place to get links is. In addition, you'll learn how to analyze your competition and detect their weak spots, so you can dominate the search engines.

You'll also be introduced to "Self-Liquidating Links", or links that cost you money at the start, but which pay for themselves over time.

There's also a section on "Leverage Engines that Multiply Link Value", which might be similar to SEO topics that will be covered in the April 2010 iBlog6 Philippine Blogging Summit.

In Social Media Marketing, Don Crowther will show you the location of "Key Social Media Outlets" where you can post your videos. You'll also learn how to assess the social media effectiveness of different video sharing sites, which shows you where to concentrate your video marketing efforts.

Don will also help you answer this question: "When should you embed a YouTube video, and when should you host your own video?"

Don will also give you a "2-Part Teaser Strategy" aimed at attracting buyers (not and just people who relax by simply watching videos online).

In the section on YouTube Dominance, Paul Colligan shares YouTube marketing tactics such as:

How to get YouTube friends with NO content
How to swap YouTube ads in your videos, with your own ads (controversial)
How to increase your viewer view count automatically... but with YouTube's permission
How to get backlinks from YouTube
How to get your videos appear in the "Related Videos" section of the "Most Viewed Videos"
How to get your videos to appear multiple times in the search engines (controversial)
How to use your competitors' ego to get their viewing audience

Warning from Manuel...
If you try to game YouTube, be prepared to face the consequences. Keep in mind that other pretty influential people are trying to monetize YouTube, and if you interfere with that or even divert the financial benefits to yourself, well...

You're not a child anymore, so think of what's going to happen if you mess around with someone else's livelihood, okay?

The section on Video Distribution will be handled by Mike Koenigs (Traffic Geyser). His knowledge of the video sharing industry will help you understand deeper topics such as mobile media marketing.

Heads up from Manuel...
Just be aware that a lot of people dislike being marketed to via their cell phone. When I say a LOT, I estimate around 90% of mobile phone users. I hope you will use a more targeted approach and avoid doing shotgun marketing via SMS or MMS.

Mike Koenigs will also reveal to you 5 Celebrity Video Marketing Secrets, that help you (just like celebrities) gain the trust of so many people that you communicate with.

In addition, Mike will help you overcome your anxieties when you stand in front of a video camera. If you're worried about the way you look, or if your palms sweat a lot, learn how to overcome all that and appear confident in just 30 seconds, with Mike's tips.

Mike Koenigs will also talk about "Optional Computerized Automatic Video Promotion", where you can take content that you've already produced, and use (or re-use) that to cross-promote your other videos and websites.

Module 6: Andy Reviews Your Videos

Be prepared to wait several weeks, though, from the date of your request, before you actually get a review. Also, please ensure that you have followed the principles mentioned in the earlier modules, so that you can get the most out of Andy's review.

Bonus: Video Information Products

How to design and produce VIPs the customers will buy
How to structure the flow of your instructions
When to give lectures, and when to perform hands-on lab training

Bonus: Video Boss Genesis

Get background information behind the entire program of The Video Boss. From Customer Research, to Market Content Creation, how Andy created marketing buzz and performed social media coordination, all the words or scripts that he used (mind maps, slide show presentations, video marketing script, all promotional email copy, split test results, landing page copy).

You will need to sign an NDA (Non-Disclosure Agreement), though.

Bonus: Your Own Video Product Launch

Jeff Walker will be a special "surprise" guest instructor who will (with his Product Launch Formula experience) help you launch your own video product. There will be special training sessions, and (based on the sales video of The Video Boss) you can apply this to whatever topic you choose for your video information product.

Bonus: Like A Boss Advanced (LABA)

Andy Jenkins will show you how to create special effects (blue/green screen compositing). You'll also learn how to create animations that make your video look slick and professional. He'll also teach you how to create and customize your own musical scoring.

Andy Jenkins will teach you how to make and market video the way he does.

After the content is delivered over a nine-week period, the TVB community will continue, and you can interact or collaborate with other TVB members. Perhaps you prefer to write scripts, while another TVB community member likes creating video special effects. You can work with each other.

That community collaboration feature will become available after the nine-week coaching period.

Andy Jenkins will continue to provide new content, new training, and regular Q&A calls or sessions beyond the first nine weeks. I did not quite catch, though, how long he will continue all of this beyond the ninth week.

(Please note that the things you read on this page describe what I saw when I viewed the salesletter / sales video of The Video Boss.)

I'm not exactly fond of sales videos that don't make it easy for you to see exactly what kind of video marketing coaching you will get for $2,000. I'm even less fond of salespages that sort of disappear when the slots have been sold out.

Anyway, I look forward to seeing the rise of even more videobloggers and video marketers. :-)
