Have you ever seen a tagboard? It's those rectangles where people can easily post a message for everyone to see. It's not a comment box, but the Shoutbox script behind it can bring in more visitors to your site.

Shoutboxes encourage people to interact right on your site. They don't leave your page because they'll enjoy exchanging online banter with one another.

Once others use your ShoutMasterPro tagboard, you will have the ability to broadcast a message and make it appear in ALL those sites which are using your script.

Some things to consider, though:

1. Can your web server handle the bandwidth requirements of all those sites which use your shoutbox script?

2. How will people react if you broadcast a message like "Visit my site at so-and-so for info on..."? Will they get angry if you do your broadcasts once a month or once a week?

3. Can you attract enough bloggers to use your script?

Usually, these tagboards or shoutboxes do not enable clickable links in the message area. If you would like live links within the message area, you might consider using ScrollBoxBuddy.com, which is a web site content syndication manager.

It's like your usual tagboard except that the messages that scroll inside those boxes are your RSS feeds which have clickable titles. Other webmasters might be encouraged to use it, if only to give their pages a certain amount of freshness (assuming you blog regularly).

Now if only someone would combine the features of Shout Master Pro and Scroll Box Buddy, then that would further increase your traffic because your script will appeal to bloggers, chatters, and webmasters looking for syndicated content.
