Secret Affiliate Code Inside Secrets

The Secret Affiliate Code (by Craig Beckta) is now available, and a lot of people have been reading the ebook and watching the videos. My friends have planned not to get any more ebooks, but after seeing all the glowing testimonials, we decided to get a copy and find out whether this is just a scam or another piece of rehashed affiliate marketing junk.

It's not your fault if you haven't made much money from affiliate marketing. There's just too much information floating around, and a lot of it is just plain wrong. You spend time and money testing and finding out which tactics simply do not work.

Will this ebook provide any new clues?

The Secret Affiliate Code (SAC) contains a Hands On Video Learning Series, and after viewing Video 3: Mastering The Clickbank Marketplace, our techie team tried one of the free resources revealed by Craig.

(NOTE: The techie team is composed of intermediate affiliate marketers. No newbies. Yet, no long-time experts either.)

As a result, we have now stopped using a $24/month service that helps us find out which Clickbank products are worth promoting. That's savings of at least $175, from one tip alone. A big Thank You goes out to Craig Beckta.

This is the first time we've seen this kind of tip (and we've gone through quite a number of Affiliate Marketing ebooks), which makes SAC a refreshing, useful, and profitable addition to your arsenal as an internet marketer.

In another video (Video 6: Making The Search Engines Fall In Love With Your Blog), Craig shares a number of easy-to-do tips for Blogger blogs. We took just one of those tips and quickly applied it to WordPress-powered blogs, and immediately experienced a 17% increase in traffic.

(This result is not typical, and may vary with your website depending on your abilities or the topic of your site.)

And what about the Secret Affiliate Code ebook? On page 20, we found a free resource that allows us to quickly position ourselves early enough to meet the demand of the internet. In other words, it's like having a crystal ball and finding out what people are going to buy three weeks in advance.

With that info, you can already start publishing web pages so that when people start searching (3 weeks later) for that product, your nicely aged web pages will dominate the search engine results pages.

Of course, other people who learn about this technique will also do the same, so you'll need to be just a bit more creative if you want to attract all that targeted and free search engine traffic.

Where do you publish these advance pages? Craig lists six places, and my friends only knew four of those. In other words, that's a 50% increase in the free places where my techie friends can now publish.

Can you picture that? Knowing in advance what to profitably write about, and now having at least 50 percent more places to publish in. And that's based on the experience of people who have been exposed to a countless number of affiliate marketing ebooks. Imagine what it will be like for newbies.

Craig also writes about Social Bookmarking sites. He presents 5 examples, but he may need to update it since one of the examples, OnlyWire, isn't that effective anymore. Some social bookmarking sites have started closing accounts of people who use OnlyWire. Anyway, there are four other sites to try, based on page 41 of the Secret Affiliate Code ebook.

Here's a TIP (not mentioned in the ebook): Don't spend too much time on automated social bookmarking. Focus instead on creating content and getting natural backlinks to your pages. Bookmarking your own sites isn't exactly considered natural, if you know what I mean.

The rest of the ebook talks about other places where you can publish your content. I have personally seen (as early as August 2006) how the not-that-new but free service Craig mentions in page 87 has produced pages that land in the first page of Google search engine results, but Craig did not mention what else you have to do in that service to get this level of search engine visibility.

Here's another TIP (not found in the ebook): When you use that service, be sure to reach out and connect with others. No person is a web page island, so to speak.

The other pages in the book are pretty much the same: listing of various places where you can publish your web pages, but no details on the additional steps you need to do after you've created your account, published and tagged a few pages. Intermediate affiliate marketers, however, will know what to do once they get to those insta-publishing sites.

In fact, this lack of details has left some people unimpressed. For example, Leo Dimilo of MarketingProjectBible.com writes that the ebook is full of fluff. Leo has been doing online marketing for a LONG time now, and he did not find anything worth reading. He probably even feels ripped off.

In the case of the video Installing Your Cash Sucking WordPress Blog, the title was rather hype-y, because the 2-1/2 minute vid simply shows how to install WordPress via Fantastico (a one-click install feature of some web hosts).

I was hoping some installation tip would be shared that would turn your WP blog into a "cash sucking" blog. Sadly, no.

The title of Video #9 could've been toned down, so that people do not get misled. Alternatively, the video could've shown you how to install certain plugins that help drive traffic to your WP-powered blog, as well as manage the monetization aspects of your site.

On the other hand...

My techie friends (who are just intermediate internet marketers) and I haven't gone through the bundled interviews with Willie Crawford, Eric Rockefeller, Charles Kirkland, and Alex Goad. And neither have we tried out the Mystery Bonus that Craig Beckta has bundled with his Secret Affiliate Code package.

What we have done, however, is put three tips (taken from the hands on videos) into action, and the results are so exciting the tactics are now being rolled out across a network of blogs and static sites.
