The popularity of MyBlogLog knows no bounds, and more people are signing up in hopes of gaining more traffic for their sites. Yet you'll sometimes find cases of reverse traffic, where MBL members send, rather than take, traffic to others.
Check out SELaplana.com's feature of interesting posts in his MBL community.
As a way of rewarding his community members, he features a number of their web pages. This is a brilliant move because it will encourage more people to join his community. And as more people join, that helps provide social proof, which then convinces even more folks to join.
And so on, and so forth, ad infinitum...
Remember, though, he does not hoard traffic. He gives it away. And the amazing part is, it comes back tenfold.
Those site owners appreciate the fact that he linked to them in his blog. In time, they too will eventually link back to him. This is not a blind form of reciprocal link exchange, though. Both parties somehow need to come up with posts interesting enough to link to.
If you've been feeling frustrated in your attempts to drive traffic towards your site, why not try the reverse traffic method? You might be surprised with the apparent cosmic results.
