Yes, there are many ways to make money online, and the Membership Cube Review posted earlier has given you ideas on how you can gain additional income streams via the internet. Here are a few more WordPress membership site strategies that you can use...
1. Simplify
Your goal is to create a membership site, market it, then move on to building another membership site. One way of simplifying things is to use just one kind of WordPress theme.
I mean, think about it. You'll install WordPress in your web hosting account, and most likely use the same theme found in your first membership site.
You can even simply copy the theme files if you made any modifications from the free theme that you used in your previous site.
This allows you to spend more time on the content of your new site.
Simplify and make more profitable use of your time.
2. Do Things In Batches.
Sometimes, you'll find yourself "in the zone."
That's when your head is filled with ideas and your fingers start to fly over the keyboard as you type paragraph after paragraph of content.
Or you'll be in an audio or video recording mood, and your cell phone will just be an arm's length away.
During those moments, go full blast and just write or record. Don't think about editing. Just go flat out and produce your content.
Later on, during a different chunk of time, you can go back and edit what you've produced, and even chop it up so you can deliver the content on installment. (Yes, Membership Cube's WPDrip plugin will come in handy here.)
3. Build A Hybrid Blog/Membership Site.
Some people create a folder called "members" in their site, install a WordPress-powered blog there, and then make it private so that it becomes invisible to the search engines. Only members who are logged in can see the content.
If you want to do SEO and gain free traffic from the search engines, then go ahead and build a public blog in a different folder of your site.
In that public blog, you can write about your experiences as you build the "members only" portion of your site, and at the same time still provide free access content (e.g., people don't have to log in just to read it) which can also be picked up by search engine robots.
That public portion of your hybrid blog/membership site will also give others a glimpse of what you can offer, because you are giving something for free. It's a free sample of your writing or speaking style which helps people find out if they like how you communicate, or if they can learn from you.
So... enough of the reading. When are you going to build your own membership site?
"But... but... what will I place in my membership site?"
Think of what it is the people keep asking you, and what kinds of things you have been teaching them. What tips have you given in the past, what recommendations, what presentations you have made.
(Calling all retired teachers and tutors... if you want to "feel useful again" or "find extra income", the internet needs the knowledge, experience and memories stored in your head...)
There are life stories you can share with others. Guaranteed.
And yes, some people are willing to pay you for that knowledge. So please go out and build your membership site today!
