John and Matt Rhodes are closing the doors of Membership Blueprints very soon, so that they can get started helping those who have enrolled online. Yes, there is a group of people interested in making money online by providing information delivered in the form of a membership site.

Membership sites comes in different forms. Some of them can deliver the needed information via a forum, a blog, or even via email. The level of sophistication can vary greatly, because the needs of people are also diverse.

While presenting information in the form of text or downloadable PDF files appeals to numerous people, nothing stops you from providing knowledge or tutorials as MP3 audio files, or even Camtasia videos or screencasts.

Personally, I prefer to learn by reading rather than by watching some PowerPoint presentation online, because what takes a speaker 30 minutes to deliver can be read in less than 7 minutes.

No wonder some membership sites give their customers transcripts of the videos. This way, the visual learners (or those with not that fast internet broadband connections) can get started right away.

If you're thinking of putting up your own membership site, you can deliver the tutorials on an installment basis using email. Companies such as Aweber or GetResponse (including a host of so many others) provide this type of email autoresponder service.

Marketer adopt this drip-feed approach to giving information, because some membership sites use a monthly recurring income business model. By lengthening the delivery of information over a period of time, this will help ensure (to a certain degree) that your members will continue their subscription month after month.

Typically, people will stop or cancel their membership after 3 or 4 months. The Rhodes brothers promise that they will share with you their experience when it comes to building membership sites, and this includes topics regarding membership attrition.

I really wish they didn't have to close their doors, though. But it's understandable given how they will give you direct access to them. It's like enrolling in a class in the university, right? Teachers, professors, or lecturers have class size limits. You can consult with them outside class hours.

Just as classes end after a semester, and are re-offered the following year, I'm hoping John and Matt Rhodes will re-open their Membership Blueprints e-class in the future. I mean, if you want to make money fast online, why not create a site that delivers info automatically, right?

After experiencing what it's like to receive questions from your online students, you can bundle all those Q&A sessions in the form of a PDF or even an online video presentation, and add that to the download area of your membership site. That will help save time, plus allow you to expand your class size.

I'm curious, though... How interested are you in putting up your own membership site?
