As I found out from my own experience, after spending a lot of money buying e-books, courses and affiliate products, I still have to learn how to write.

Most internet marketers deliberately forget to tell us the importance of writing because it is not easy. It is counter to the illusion that they want to portray that success in internet marketing is just one e-book away. But you just have to look at their long sales letter to see how important writing is.

So, let me sharpen my pencil and get ready for the lessons.

For example, you may have great gardening skills and your garden is the envy of all your neighbors and beyond. What I will do is jot down what are the skills that I have made to make my garden so lovely into an ebook and make it sellable and there will be a market to buy - the size of the buyer market is dependent but it still makes you money if you know how to promote it right. For example, find a forum that is all about gardening and promote it within the forum - perhaps you split the profit with the forum owner because the forum owner provided you with his memberlist to market to.

There are many ways to make money online, that does not require you to write everyday. You can create a membership site or forum for a niche subject but this takes some planning, and there is also affilliate marketing and you can also freelance if you have some skills that you can sell to others that need it.

Is getting free domain names fine? Like DotTK?

This tutorial applies to people who are just starting out. Since you already have a site at Blog-City.com, just maintain it (because it has already gained online credibility and will be useful for traffic purposes).

For your upcoming blogs, you can try getting a domain name.

I have so much to say but I might just flood the comment section. LOL. I started writing a blog in 2003 just for the heck of it, hence I did not find a need to buy a domain, and I did not need to pay for anything online. I am online-purchase phobic, and I think I still am. (but good thing that there's Paypal already for the Philippines.) Come December 2007, I had to make a hard decision if I want to pay for my blog service (free accounts will not be provided anymore) or if I want to leave. If I leave, sayang naman. So I chose to stay. I still didn't buy a domain name just because my blog has been online for a long time, so changing the URL might be a bad idea or an unnecessary cost for me (Some people already associate Skyllo with Blog-City). I have to pay $45 a year for my blog host, expensive I know, but my files are all intact and I don't need to worry + the linkblogs feature (see the right gutter of my blog) because it's like i have my own digg or reddit or something similar + customer service has always been prompt and nice even when I still had a free account. I thought of breaking even so I decided to monetize my blog. After trying it out, I figured that it's quite slow moving to depend on just 1 blog, so now I have made 2 more with specific content. I've also made it a point to put tags on my main blog's entries. Surprisingly my tags come up quite well on Google search, giving me the extra traffic I need.

I just realized how much I've devoted my time to writing. I'm no Journalism major, but I've always found myself writing and writing and writing. I still have the energy to update my LiveJournal and Multiply and I rarely cross-post just so I can say "I posted". And I make videos/vlogs every now and then.
