Hi.
I've been blogging since 2004, albeit not regularly. After much nudging from my sister after reading your success in Adsense, I decided to apply for an account (even though I personally hate ads). Too bad though, I couldn't get through this stumbling block: Adsense requires me to enter a State: I tried Manila, Metro Manila, Philippines, NCR, National Capital Region, Ilocos, Ilocos Norte, Cavite, MM, Metro, etc. But it always rejects each input, saying there's no such state/province in the country (Philippines). Any solutions? Much appreciated if you'd reply by email. Thanks.

Good arguments. Blogging is very open and there could be as many possibilities as there are bloggers when it comes to getting the most out of adsense. Then again, there are alternatives to it.

The only problem now adays is , There is a hardship on approval for new Adsense Publisher. As per the comments that has been provided in my blog.

You're absolutely right, John. That's why small traffic experiments require longer run times, to help reduce the possibility that the performance was just sheer luck.

AdSense can be worthwhile. As you say one of the great things about a web site it is very easy to try out different strategies to bring in some money. One thing to note is that experiments with small traffic are pretty unreliable. Just one person choosing to click on ads can make one blog or ad program or... seem like it is superior (when in reality it was just luck).

That's true, Marhgil. It can boil down to a CTR and CPC numbers game. It helps to discover which low-traffic niche topics make AdSense worth your time.

I wonder what niche blogs are those. my point there is that if your CTR is 3% and CPC is 5 cents and you don't have that much traffic and you don't want to work it out, then Adsense is not for you. Most blogs don't have that much CTR and CPC. Of course, if your blog has a higher CTR and CPC, then, you'll just need less traffic to get the $100 per month.

Thanks for sharing your views regarding the matter. It's good that readers see two sides of the story. I'll update my post put a link to this one.
