If you've come across brandible or brandable PDFs, you've probably also wondered how to brand videos. This way, even if a video has already been produced and uploaded to places like YouTube or Google Video, you can still place text on top of the video.
By adding text (such as your website URL) to a popular video, more people will learn about your site. Anyway, here's how to do it...
First of all, if you try to do this technique on a video that you did not create, be prepared to get a bunch of angry emails (or worse). Afterall, if you try to ride on the popularity of a vid, and use that to promote your web site, what do you think the owner or creator of the video will feel?
A better alternative is to brand videos that you own. You know, those videos that you uploaded months ago? The ones you no longer have time to re-edit via Windows Movie Maker just so that you could include or display your blog's www dot name?
You can use the tool called BubblePLY to add text or speech bubbles to existing videos (think cartoon talking bubbles). This is a fast and easy way to brand a video with your web site address.
