Or perhaps it's better if we create our own product and launch that instead, right? :-)

The problem with all these programs is that the market becomes flooded on the day of a launch, and then the best way of making money is to promote the product that's just been launched to other people and flood the market some more....

In this case I'm not sure following the pack is the best idea!

The new wave of software and affiliate marketing tools are re shaping how the game is played, but not the game itself. In fact 2007 was a banner year for all these so called research and spy tools.

Google Assassin is an interesting product, but the honest truth is, it does not present any "new way or method" of making money through affiliate marketing… as a tool it does what most tools do, aid and assist the user..

I am currently using Google Assassin and the main benefit I believe it gives as an affiliate marketing tool, is that it makes research work shorter and easier.

Just some weeks ago I got my hands on Affiliate Elite at affiliateelite.com also and same thing, a research tool that helps us marketers make informed decisions.

The main disappointment I have with GA is the promise that we no longer have to make any decisions since, the program will emulate Chris' decisions; since he claimed in an email to me (yes I am on his mailing list) that he literally cloned himself... meaning decision making included. But no, that does not do that. The keyword tool also is not as good as some other keyword research tools... however there are other tools that are great like the MicroNicher and the Campaigner, but again, these just present you with information that can be retrieved on your own, it just hastens the process.

The truth is currently I switch between both programs because there is something AE can do that GA is weak at, and vice versa.

At the end of the day, given the data that you uncover, you would still have to make your own affiliate marketing decision.

So the game has not changed at all, just how it is played, and all these new tools "up" the level of playing for the players, thus changing how the game will be played... and that would be on the aspect of "speed", how fast you can research a niche or product; you are considering to penetrate or promote, respectively.
