People who are trying to make money online often receive this piece of advice: Find a niche market.

You need to go beyond that, though. You need to find YOUR niche market. Here's how to do it...

Relax... You won't get the usual:

1. Go to bookstores and browse bestsellers.
2. Go to magazine stands and check who the advertisers are.
3. Write about what you love.

No. You're probably up to your ears with all of that stuff. And you've had your fill of this or that quote.

Take this, for example: "Where your heart is, that's where your treasure will be."

Actually, that's not quite the correct quote.

Here's what it actually is: "For where your treasure is, there your heart will be."

So, how do you find YOUR niche market? Simple. Ask yourself the following question:

What are you willing to spend money on?

Go ahead. Grab a sheet of paper and make a list of things you spend your hard-earned money on.

Next, cross out those items that do not involve interacting with people.

With your shortlist, shorten it further by removing those things which don't have too many excited people.

At this point, you should have around 3 to 5 items. Those are your niche markets.
