|
If you’re itching to use Jason Potash’s Content Composerr (www.ContentComposer.com), then this review will help you avoid some pitfalls in your quest for article writing nirvana.
Content Composer is a program that allows you to automatically mix-and-match different words, sentences, or paragraphs, so that you can come up with many variations of a certain written article.
That’s the key point that a lot of people may have glossed over: multiple variations of what is essentially a single article.
In the salesletter of Jason Potash, you’ll read:
Right off the bat, let me say that this opportunity isn’t right for everyone. So I don’t want to waste your time.
What I’m offering will most benefit you if you fall into one of the following three groups:
Group #1: You write your own articles… and you’d be interested in producing 27 quality, original articles in about the same time it took you to write one article.
Group #2: You use Private Label Rights articles… and you want a massive advantage over everyone else using private label rights articles.
Group #3: You hire ghostwriters… and you’d like a way exponentially increase the number of articles they produce and make managing your article creation process much easier.
I found the possibilities for Group #1 enticing. Okay, okay… I got sucked into the hype. Imagine, spend time writing one article, and you’ll be able to produce 27!
So I put Content Composer to the test.
For the software to produce reasonable-looking variations, you’ll need to think of word-, sentence-, and paragraph-variations related to one themed article.
Let’s say you’re planning to write about that favorite niche marketing topic: Trout Fishing.
And let’s suppose you’re going to focus on 7 Secrets of Trout Fishing Success.
Go ahead and write one 400-word article based on that title. (Yes, you’ll need to exert some writing effort even with the help of Content Composer.)
Done with that article? Now go through it and see which words, sentences, or even paragraphs you can rewrite so that you come up with 27 variations of that particular article.
If you can actually write those 27 versions, then Content Composer will be able to help you automatically output those 27 variations. All you need to do is carefully plan and type your “spinnable” article, feed Content Composer those word, sentence or paragraph variants, and the possible permutations and combinations will be created for you in a few seconds.
What happens if you can’t even think of 7 alternate ways of rewriting that article? Well, if you’re happy with content that is 30% different (meaning, 70% of each of your articles will look similar to 70% of the body of your other articles), then Content Composer can still help you.
Personally, I’d go for articles that are at least 90% different, because even if your “original” or “unique” articles (because 30% of the article looks different) all make it to the first page of search engine results for your targeted keyword phrase, people who click on those links and read your articles will quickly sense that the articles were just spun from one mother article.
And if visitors can easily see that, then so can the search engines who are relying not just on robots and algorithms but also on actual people to review the search results.
In other words, a “30% is unique” content strategy is not sustainable. You may succeed in the short term, but if you’re trying to build a business, you’ll need something more robust, unless you enjoy chasing after the next “revolutionary” idea.
How Content Composer Can Improve
Content Composer (CC) can become a fantastic tool if it could employ some kind of artificial intelligence or AI component.
True, old article spinners mindlessly replace words with the first synonym in their program…
For example,
The mango tree will bear much fruit during the summer
is transformed to
The mango tree will wild beast much fruit during the summer.
But the main reason CC does not output something that ludicrous is that CC relies on you and your intelligence to define a list of synonyms for the word “bear” which fit the context of the article. It depends on you to type in the more appropriate words.
The true magic behind Content Composer is YOU, the writer. As far as rewriting is concerned, all CC does is mix-up what you feed it.
Anyway, go ahead and try rewriting The mango tree will bear much fruit in the summer through a simple synonym replacement:
will generate?
will blossom?
will bring forth?
will produce?
That’s four contextually correct synonyms, although some of those will make your writing look awkward.
But if Content Composer will have some kind of AI engine that will draw from a database of rewritten sentences, that that would be something!
It already makes use of a thesaurus, so why not make use of a sentence dictionary? The software will analyze your words and sentences, and then come up with sentence variations automatically.
The program can be tweaked to use different sentence dictionaries: 5th grader, college/university level, technical writer, creative writer, journalist, beat reporter… The possibilities are endless.
It will be as if you have a group of ghostwriters, with each person having a unique personality and writing style. In such a case, you just spend time writing ONE article, and several true variations will emerge.
How I wish CC could actually do all that.
And so the question remains…
Content Composer: Is It Just A Scam?
Is CC just a pipe dream peddled to people who cringe if you so much as suggest they write a 10-sentence article?
If the “30% is unique content” fits your content strategy, then go for it. Content Composer retails for $297, but thanks to Charles Heflin you can grab a 24% discount coupon and get CC for only $227.
- Do you have an affiliate program? Normally, you’ll write some kind of promo article which your affiliates can post in their blogs. Since that’s only one article, a hundred affiliates posting that exact same article will make the web an ultra-boring place. With CC, you can easily churn out 27 variations for your affiliates to choose from, and help add some variety to the growing collection of web pages.
- Do you sell PLR article packs? If you have some kind of “only 50 packs will be sold” policy, you can use CC to create variations of your old sold-out article packs, and then resell those “new” ones.
- Do you build and sell website networks? Whether it’s a set of Article Directories, or instant 10-page content sites, or other networked places containing content, then CC can help you speedily produce all those “permutated” articles to fill those directories and instant web sites.
- Do you work with ghostwriters? If you like to put in some sense of systems and procedures in the writing process, then CC will help you keep track of word count, keyword density, and other metrics. It will also help warn you to make the articles more varied in terms of number of words, for example.
- Are you concerned about plagiarism? You can easily check if the articles submitted to you by your ghostwriters were lifted from other webpages. If you find yourself using Copyscape.com over and over again, then the one-time fee for CC may help save you from having to pay Copyscape for each search you make.
Just remember, however, that when you check an article for uniqueness, some data gets sent to the joltinc.com servers. I don’t know what that server will do with the data it receives aside from getting five random sentences from your articles, and checking for duplicates on the web.
Perhaps you can ask Jolt Marketing if you’re concerned about data security and confidentiality?
So, no, Content Composer is not a scam. It is a highly specialized program that even the owner Jason Potash himself acknowledges is not right for everyone. If your content strategy allows you to make use of multi-variations of a single article, then perhaps you’ll discover that Content Composer is a tool worth having in your business.

In case you don’t know, I’m back on podcasting. See you around the net
Hi Jeric, It’s good to hear you podcasting again.
We have been using Content Composer for quite some time. It is the best on the market without question.
Hi Manuel,
It sounds very similar to content solution. Does Content composer make use of markov with rewriting?
Interested.
Thanks,
Johan
[From Manuel] Hi! The last time I looked at Content Composer, it didn’t make use of Markov chaining.
