Yes, you can increase your web site traffic with the help of a party.

In the Philippines, some bloggers are organizing a party. To get an invitation, you need to write about the party in your blog, set-up a Technorati tag, and then link to the sites of the party sponsors. How ingenious!

The party is called Blog Parteeh '07.

I wish I could attend, but there's a clan reunion on January 27. But I digress...

Did you catch the requirement? Blogging about it is not enough; you need to include a Technorati tag (blogparteeh07). That's how the organizers will know whom to send the party invitations to.

That means bloggers who are able to do this are not first-time bloggers. They're people who've been at it for at least three months.

Presumably, the existing traffic of such sites is higher than that of newly-created blogs. In addition, their pagerank may possibly be higher. And that makes the links valuable (especially in the eyes of the Sponsors).

Will this work? That remains to be seen. But I have to hand it to the Parteeh organizers for coming up with a creative way of getting local bloggers together in a fun party while encouraging Sponsor participation through the promise of link love.

Party on!

BONUS: Here's How to use Technorati Tags. Please remember that between now and January 27, bloggers will be regularly checking the Technorati "blogparteeh07" tag page. Hint, hint!
