Blogging and Clean Elections
215 words | Last Updated: April 28, 2007 |
What can blogging about the elections achieve? On one hand, you can help contribute towards achieving clean (or "cleaner") elections. On the other, that's additional traffic to your web site.
Take, for example, the case of Sign-up for VforCE: 1 million Volunteers for Clean Elections.
They're making use of the web by blogging about their need for volunteers not only in terms of text, but also through the use of video and other forms of social media.
They also promote their site so that the increased traffic may snowball into traffic that exceeds what their blog alone has already attracted. They also encourage people to download their poster ad, to further help spread awareness.
Perhaps they can also start distributing brandable PDF files to encourage more bloggers to write about them.
Or they can encourage their present crop of volunteers to start blogging (if they haven't already). While the Philippine elections are just a little over two weeks away, starting a new blog can still help, particularly if you know where to get a new blog.
In a future post, I'll share with you places where you can set-up your new blog such that it gets noticed by other readers right away.
