Bloggers as Entrepreneurs
414 words |
Bloggers have been writing and hoping to earn money from their sites. Perhaps it's time to become an entrepreneur.
If you've been busy trying to make money online by blogging, surfing, commenting, reading forums, or marketing products, you've been busy fulfilling a job. Why not give entrepreneurship a try? Check out these steps:
1. Think of a market, and a product that will fulfill that market's needs and wants. Then set-up a website that will help deliver the product to that market.
2. Hire a techie who is comfortable with setting up and upgrading SEO-friendly WordPress blogs. S/he will also keep track of all your domain names and web host providers.
3. Hire people who are willing to write around twenty 300- to 400-word original articles on a particular topic. In other words, they should be willing to develop a particular blog. Aside from posting articles in the blog, they'll also need to leave worthwhile comments in other related blogs. You'll need at least one editor who will check the quality of the articles.
4. Hire someone who can write ad copy and conceptualize a Google Adword campaign for the purpose of finding out what keywords resonate with your target market. He or she will have to work with your lead editor in refining the articles produced by your writers.
5. Hire someone to properly submit those blogs to various online directories. You can also outsource this.
6. Hire someone who can package other articles (not found in the blogs mentioned in item #3 above) into PDF files or ebooks. Get them to work with graphics designers who can create eye-catching ebook covers.
7. Hire someone who can write short articles that will be delivered via an email autoresponder. This requires a skill different from those used to writing longer articles. Get them to work with email form designers who can create attention-getting opt-in web forms.
8. Hire someone who will research and evaluate affiliate programs selling products or services related to your main product. You can offer these to your customers in the future.
So, why hire so many people? You'll need their help because you will create a network of around 52 web sites. That's one site a week.
Your "job" as an entrepreneur is to get all these people to work together and achieve your goal of entrepreneurial success. Yes, this entails some risk because success is not guaranteed. Then again, risk is something entrepreneurs need to deal with.
