A reader asks if PPC (Pay Per Click) advertising is his best option for promoting Affiliate Silver Bullet, if he does not blog nor have a social network.
It's your only option at the moment. But I wouldn't consider it the best.
Here's why...
There are basically two things you can promote (if you don't have a blog or web site):
1. The Affiliate Silver Bullet system itself
2. The Products being promoted by ASB
If you buy traffic (via PPC advertising) and send people directly to ASB, they won't buy right away. And if they decide to eventually get ASB, the commission might go to someone else because there's no guarantee that the cookie (a file stored in their hard disk which identifies you as the person responsible for sending the visitor to ASB) will still be there.
Either way, the money you spent on PPC will be wasted.
If, on the other hand, you buy traffic and send it to the Products being promoted by ASB, and your referred visitors sign-up in the video opt-in page created by ASB, then guess what?
Yes, ASB will build their subscriber list thanks to clicks that you (not ASB) paid for.
(There was a time when the ASB page was not loading properly. If you were using PPC at that time, then you would've paid for visitors who end up staring at a blank web page.)
I highly recommend you first create a blog or a web page. And if you decide to start using PPC, then send those visitors to an opt-in page in your own web site. If they subscribe to your own mailing list, then at least you would've ended up paying for an email address.
Since you don't have a blog yet, I recommend deferring your PPC campaign. Build your blog first, post a few unique articles in a couple of article directories (i.e., EzineArticles, GoArticles), get some traffic to your blog, and invite people to subscribe to your mailing list.
And if that works, then consider using PPC to send visitors to your site and opt-in page.
In the coming weeks, we'll publish tutorials on:
1. Creating a blog.
2. Submitting articles to Article Directories.
3. Creating opt-in pages.

Manuel,
Thanks for your recommendation on the best option to promote ASB or any affiliate product for that matter specially for someone just starting out in internet/affiliate marketing and on a budget.
I'm looking forward to your tutorials.
Robert
Thanks, Robert. The coming tutorials will also ask some hard questions that we must face before we start on this internet marketing journey. Good to have you here.
You can also promote the ASB landing page (it includes a cool video), this way you promote the ASB system and the system (or your autoresponder) will keep your e-mail and will send you 5 e-mails trying to convince you about becoming a member.
Later on, the system will send you new e-mails where it will be promoting other products. It's a very powerful system. I have been using it for 2 months.
Thanks, Jens. Your blog has the most comprehensive posts I've seen online regarding ASB. Are you pleased with the conversion of the email series written by ASB?
Hi Manuel,
Thanks!
Well, I am not sure if I am satisfied or not. I am earning more money from ASB than with the bullets. But I guess that this can change soon. I haven't been promoting the bullets before just now.
I have read many of the email series and I think that they are "perfect" and I have had a few sales from them. I am now setting up my own Aweber autoresponder with several of the email series, and when I am finished with that, I think that I will see a lot better conversion.
[...] reading an earlier post called Affiliate Silver Bullet Promotion Tips, I got inspired to help a number of affiliates, because they are Host4Profit Promo 1028 [...]
I ordered this system and have had nothing but trouble. I did not get any directions on downloading and I cannot reach Dustin. All I get are autoresponders.
Did you get your login info? There's nothing to download except for the "host on your own server" packages. Are you planning to host those in your own server? Thanks.
I have not had any problems with ASB. What sort of problems do you have? I have been in contact with support many times and hopefully I have most of the answers.
Hi, back again - I've been following this blog re. affiliatesilverbullet ever since I subscribed in January. Things are still not ok. For a couple of reasons
1. for those of you who are hosting your own bullets and this most likely applies to those who are not because you're sending subscribers the same minicourse html with 'links' to the product - links that often don't work.
i.e Anyone tried subscribing to their own bullets lately to test them ? try subscribing through the viralmarketingmanuscript.com bullet. the course I was sent had dead links in each part of the mini course.
I then joined the viralmarketingmanuscript affiliate program - they automatically generated a hoplink through my Clickbank account - although I can't find them on Clickbank. I then edited my own 5 part minicourse, puting my own affiliate links in instead of the ASB links - did the same with the ASB links in the course.
Now when I click on the links - no problem, until I get onto the viralmarketingmanuscript site immediately there is the popup offering a freeby - if someone opts in to get the freeby, checks their email, confirms, they are then sent back to the site - not through the affiliate link - but through the new link in the freeby opt in - tricky hey ?
I thought I would give ASB one more chance - would I say affiliatesilverbullet.com scams people - no, I wouldn't go that far - but imagine having 30 affiliatesilverbullets that need to be checked regularly for bad links - thats 150 minicourse links.
Hey guys - check your minicourse links - all 150 of them
Cheers,
Pjay
