Are you a Clickbank affiliate? Do you promote products of certain Clickbank merchants? Here's an easy and automatic way of minimizing affiliate commission theft or affiliate link hijacking.
Affiliate Bonus Manager for Clickbank Affiliates is a monthly service that allows you to automatically give bonuses to customers who purchase a Clickbank product via your affiliate referral link.
Clickbank has certain rules when it comes to affiliates offering incentives to customers (i.e., if you buy through my link, I'll give you this or that bonus...). Some bonuses are not allowed, and if you're not aware of these rules, Clickbank may suspend your affiliate account.
Other methods are sort of allowed, if you're able to work within the rules of Clickbank. For example, there are certain disclaimers to display, and actions to immediately take. This is for the protection of customers who purchased a Clickbank product because of your endorsement or promise.
For those of you who are trying the Day Job Killer approach to affiliate marketing, you may have noticed the amount of work needed to fulfill your promise to customers who buy through your affiliate link. Fortunately, the Affiliate Bonus Manager automates the process for you.
Instead of waiting for customers to email you the Clickbank receipt (which you'll then cross-check against your Clickbank stats to see whether the purchase was really made through your link), the customers will simply visit a page on your site, enter the Clickbank receipt, and if it checks out are then shown your Bonuses page.
Can you see the potential here? You don't have to monitor their purchases anymore. Plus, the customers are able to quickly get the bonuses you promised them even if you're on vacation and are away from your email Inbox.
The customers will not complain to Clickbank because they can quickly get the products you offered to give them if they purchased through your affiliate link. Afterall, you did earn a commission, right?
You might be wondering, though: What if I don't have anything to offer as a bonus?
Good question. Fortunately, the Affiliate Bonus Manager for Clickbank Affiliates service has got that covered. They offer products which you can use. The details are available at the ABM site.
I wonder if this will eventually be adapted to fit non-Clickbank affiliate programs. Let's see how this performs in the coming months. Stay tuned!
(In case you're wondering how the system will validate the Clickbank receipt -- it makes use of your Clickbank affiliate ID and password. I hope the ABM developer offers the script for those who want better control over logins and passwords.)

That's a really great idea. I've stayed away from offering any addons because it seems like way too much work. Glad to see something simplify that so well.
I recently started using ABM. What I noticed though is that you can fool it. If you simply enter any valid receipt, not necessarily the one for the product you are purchasing, it will allow access. this is not good. It means that for a product you bought for $9, you can take that code, pop it into the AMB and gain access to a product or bonus worth much much more. I hope there is some protection mechanism that I missed. Any experience with this?
Hi Rian, Are you referring to a receipt of another referred product?
I can imagine that once ABM logs into your Clickbank affiliate account, it simply scans all the receipts there and tries to find a match. So if you referred a $9 product but are now promoting a $97 product, and if I previously purchased the $9 product through your affiliate link, then the receipt for the $9 product becomes a "valid" number.
The protection workaround I see here is to have more than one Clickbank affiliate ID - one for low-ticket items, and another for high ticket items.
Alternatively, your bonus could be in the form of an ebook which requires manual activation. Of course, if you're making a LOT of referral sales then this can become quite tedious.

Hi Manuel...
Been a long time I haven't passed by, I know...I come to realize again and again that I got only 24 hours in a day...don't we all?
[From Manuel] Hi C5! Good to see you've been updating your real estate site.
Hi,
As an Affiliate as well as a developer myself, I can safely say that clickbank does not currently offer any service that will let you check your recipes. By service, I mean a service that developers can use to retrieve the clickbank recipes for verification.
Because of this, and from your comments, probably this software just validate the syntax of the clickbank receipt alone, therefore it dosent check that a receipt is your own or not - since this is practically impossible to do becuase clickbank does not allow this.
As a general rule (and common sence) any software that asks for your clickbank username and password should be avoided SINCE YOU ARE GUST GIVING THOSE DETAILS TO SOMEONE ELSE
You're right. And I do hope the ABM developer offers a script that addresses the needs of those who want better control over their login information.
