315 words |
When the AdSense robot sees certain words in your web page, it makes the system show Public Service Ads. In other words, you won't earn any advertising revenue. In some cases, you might not readily identify that your post has already been tainted with such income-depleting words.
Before you throw in the towel and turn your back completely on this entire make money online dream, check out the following workarounds...
First of all, what are these AdSense stop words? A quick Google search shows that most of these words will probably not appear in your blog posts.
But they might appear in the comments posted by your readers.
And if they appear a number of times, then PSAs will appear in your web page. Yes, goodbye advertising revenues for that page.
Solution: You can manually remove or edit out those words, or you can use WordPress to automatically remove such words for you.
What if you really intend to weave certain stop words in your blog post, and it so happens that that particular page is attracting a lot of traffic? You can try Dexter's Redirecting Post For Advertising Monetizing Purpose tip.
In other words, the system will automatically redirect those visitors to a more AdSense-friendly post.
Alternatively, you can convert those words from plain text to images, but don't be surprised if the Google bots are using OCR capabilities when they attempt to "read" the text found in your images.
In the end, however, you control the writing process. From the words you post, to the comments you allow to exist in your blog, it's all up to you. And what if you're the kind of person who loves to express yourself using those "stop words"? Well, try videoblogging.
