AdSense Resurrected (by Zeila Rich) gears up for a Christmas 2007 launch. In less than 22 days, she and her husband Mo (not their real names) will show you "How A Couple From Singapore Made A Million Dollars in Three Months From Google!"
Is this for real, or is AdSense Resurrected just a scam?
Although I read in the past that Zeila and Mo have over 1,000 domain names, it turns out that they only have a "few" blogs. Recent updates also reveal that they did not make all their earnings from AdSense, and there are hints that they also earned from AdSense alternatives.
Why did they use the word "AdSense" then? It has something to do with branding. For example, some people use the word "Xerox" when they mean "photocopy." Or "Colgate" when they mean "toothpaste."
UPDATE: They now average about $200,000 monthly from AdSense, which was achieved with the help of over 1,000 web sites [only a handful of which are blogs]. With operational costs of $50k per month, that's still $150,000 in monthly advertising profits. Is this for real?
Anyway, let's go back to the initial goal: $3 million from Google in three months.
Is this Singapore or US dollars? Let's assume that it's in USD. So that's $1 million a month. If their site is like John Chow's (who earned around $27,000 in November 2007), then that's 37 to 38 blogs.
If you hire 38 bloggers, plus Zeila and Mo, that's $25,000 per person per month. Do you think you can find 38 bloggers willing to write for $25,000 a month? It's possible, right?
According to Abe Olandres, there are around 200,000 bloggers in the Philippines alone. And since the typical blog earns around US$200 a month (purely from AdSense), the $25,000 target appears quite juicy. Even at $2,000 a month, you'll be able to attract network bloggers.
But these are just guesses. I have no idea how Zeila Rich hit that target.
