If you want to make money online with AdSense, one way of making sure your code appears in the right sites is to make use of the AdSense authorized sites control list. Well, it is true that anyone can simply copy paste your code in whatever site they choose, but if the site is not "authorized" then the impressions will not be counted.

The thing is, when you switch on this feature, you will have to later add to the list legitimate sites that you did not think of previously. These are sites outside your network of blogs, for example, and what makes them legit is that they are actually other sites of Google.

They are composed of several IP addresses which you can then add to your list of "authorized sites" so that your AdSense impressions will count when a site visitor views your web page through one of those Google-related sites.

Here is a partial list of such sites, which you can then conveniently copy/paste into your AdSense authorized sites list:

How can you check who owns such an IP address? You can view the WHOIS record. For example, if you visit

http://samspade.org/whois/64.233.189.102

You will see who the listed owner is. Just keep in mind, though, that just because you see that the registered OrgName is "Google Inc." that does not automatically mean it is really owned by Google.

Will this matter? What if you simply block any and all AdSense impressions made in sites outside your network? Will your AdSense earnings drop?

There have been mixed reviews. Some have found that including those legit IP addresses has led to higher AdSense earnings. Others have seen no appreciable change. In other words, you can try it yourself and see how it affects your online income.
