Adsense and Profitable Keywords

Did you ever think that as long as you have pages on profitable, high paying keywords, then you can just put up web pages about those keywords and then just sit back and wait for the Adsense money to come rolling in?
Some people would like to have you believe that.
Some would try to sell you access to magic lists of keywords. Others would even give you ready-made sites that already have pre-written articles. Imagine, simply upload those files to your web server and wait for the revenues to come clicking in.
But there's a missing ingredient: high web site traffic.
Unless people are coming to your site in droves, how will you earn anything? Besides, if those keyword lists are that great, why are people selling you such lists instead of earning advertising revenues themselves?
1. Are they unable to write content focused on those keywords?
2. Are they unable to send a significant amount of traffic to the web pages they publish?
And why are people trying to sell you ready-made sites?
1. Are they unable to send traffic to their own sites?
2. Have they already established such sites, so even if you just copy/upload those instant sites you'll still just be a duplicate in the eyes of search engines?
So, what are the truly profitable keywords? They're the ones related to a topic you are passionate and knowledgeable about, and which others are willing to spend on. Jack might be passionate about toenail clippings, while Jill might be the resident fashionable cell phone socks expert.
What do you think consumers are willing to spend money on, toenail clippings or cell phone sock pouches?
I've given up on those keyword lists, because they're all starting to look the same: insurance, mortgage, loans, mesothelioma, and many more.
