If you want to make money online, you will need to play by the rules. And since the rules change every now and then, you need to keep tabs on the latest developments. Take for example the case of AdSense.

AdSense recently updated its Terms of Service, and thanks to Macuha.com's Privacy Policy Is Now Required For Google AdSense Publishers, your site has to have this additional web page.
Your Privacy Policy or Privacy Statement must also contain certain wording regarding cookies.
