You can easily avoid any problems by placing text "sponsored links" above the ads. Even if it's under the title of your post/article/whatever. If it's marked as "sponsored", then you should be safe. You can be eventually warned by the AdSense team and asked to place your ad code somewhere else... or they can simply disable adsense for that particular domain (not a good thing though) without terminating the account.

One of the "secrets" of success in internet marketing or making money online is to: Test, test, test! :-)

How do you know that a right-aligned ad will make more money than a left-aligned one, or vice-versa? Yes, you need to test different layouts. The results may pleasantly surprise you.

I make use of the adsense script called adsense-injection. That said every post I made where I inserted a picture I used this script to insert a small "keyword" telling the script when to start inserting the adsense code into the body of the post.

That way I knew I would not in any way offend Google by placing my code near a picture.

I have wondered about the fact that sometimes when I was not using a graphic in a post that the adsense ad would sometimes be placed right after the topic whether it would be considered a bad practice. Thanks for pointing it out.

From now on I will post as always but always use the instruction for the adsense-injection script to only show the ads any place in the post after my first paragraph of text.

How about link ad? Can I place it under the post title?

[<em>From Manuel</em>] If the post title is considered "misleading" by Google, any AdSense unit should not be placed under the post title.

Adsense rectangles placed inside the body of the post can be right-aligned, or left-aligned (in which case it will appear right under the title). Yes, some readers will get annoyed by ads that are left-aligned, because it interferes with their reading experience.

I prefer to put the Adsense rectangle inside the body of the post (just like your opt in form) and then the Adsense skyscraper in the sidebar. Having ads right under the title can be quite annoying for readers don't you think?
