People have been asking if Dan Miller's 3 Hour Profits (www.3hourprofits.com) is just a scam. Afterall, the promise is quite bold: "Actual profits in 3 hours, without a website." Is this for real? Can you actually earn $10,000 a month working from your home?
I got curious about this, naturally...
...so I tried to sign-up.
The payment processor they use is called SafePaySolutions. Since this is the first time I've ever come across them, I'm a bit wary. How secure are they? And what is the buying experience like? A quick check in Google shows a number of complaints (circa 2006) from both customers and affiliates.
So I back off.
Then I notice the sign-up box on the lefthand column of the "3 Hour Profits" (3HP) homepage: "You still haven't ordered the 3HourProfits.com program? Why Not? Enter your name and email below and we'll send you a FREE Report on how you can make $500 - $1,000 within the next 24 hours."
Interesting, I thought. I can try and make $500 in the next 24 hours, and then use those funds to test 3HP.
I eagerly awaited the email... and got disappointed. The message was so general, and basically promised that the details will be revealed inside the Members' Area.
So, how exactly can you make money online without having a web site? My friends shared with me this tip: 3 Hour Profits will teach you how to spread the word about 3HP (via online classified ads, opt-in emails and print advertising), so that you will earn from affiliate commissions.
For example, some people have posted an ad over at www.TradePoint.ca which reads:
Make Money Today From Home - $2,500 A Week!
This program that makes me over $1,000 a day working from home.
Do not miss this opportunity.$1,000 A Day Working From Home!
I lost my job and started making $3,000 a week working from home.
(3HP Affiliate link)
That headline ("Make Money Today From Home - $2,500 A Week!") is just one of the many example of advertising tips that 3HP members learn. I've even seen some text + image ads promoting the program, although I've also noticed that most of their affiliate links are not cloaked.
A quick check of the 3HP salesletter reveals that readers will be swayed to pay and join the 3HP program. So if you follow the detailed and tedious ways of advertising and promoting 3HP, you'll be making money in as short as just 3 hours.
Ask yourself this: How many people can resist a headline that says --
Work From Home
And Afford To Do The Things You Want!Working From Home We Show You How
To Make Money Online Within 3 Hours! You Will Make Money, WE GUARANTEE IT!
Powerful stuff, right?
The question is, are you willing to make the time to place ads in online classifieds such as: Backpage.com, Oodle.com, Univision.com, NowToronto.com, Nuvo.net, and many others?
Here's another tip: If you want to learn the advertising and promotion tactics of 3HP (i.e., how to post an ad daily on free classified sites, how to mix-and-match headlines and images in your hundreds of ads), and if you're willing to trust in the way SafePaySolutions handles affiliate commission payments, and if risking $49 (with a possibility of not getting a refund, based on some complaints) is no skin off your nose, then go ahead and give 3 Hour Profits a try.
Personally? I'll pass on this.
I did learn, though, that traffic to your site will get a significant (but short-term) boost if you can convince hundreds of people to place ads promoting your site in the various online classified pages. All you need to do is create the text-only and text-and-image ads (Dan Miller created 49 image ads for his affiliates), and tell those people where to place the ads.

Hi Manuel,
Isn't this like a scam, pyramid program and is it even legal? Thanks for highlighting this though.
I wouldn't call it a scam, Kendra. Dan Miller merely charges people for info on how and where to advertise, even if you don't have a web site. He provides the ad copy, and also the image ads.
In effect, he's charging people for Affiliate Marketing Training that's focused on online classifieds.
Of course, the ads he created will benefit his 3HourProfits product. Those same ads, however, easily reveal the places to advertise in online, plus the observation that Backpages seems to delete some of those 3HP ads after just one day.
Some affiliate managers provide training to their affiliates for free. But I haven't seen any affiliate manager provide affiliates with as many as 49 image ads and a list of online classifieds to advertise in.
(NOTE: I'm currently testing the 49 different ads to see which one pulls better than the others.)
Anyway, let's do the math: $10,000 a month translates to about $333 a day. Assuming you promote only 3HP that comes out to about 17 affiliate sales per day (since you earn $20 in direct affiliate commissions).
If someone signs up as an affiliate under you, you'll earn $10 for each 3HP training program package your sub-affiliate sells. If you want to hit your $330 a day target, you and your sub-affiliate each need to sell 11 packages a day. Without a web site, and relying only on classified ads, that level is quite challenging.
If you manage to attract 31 sub-affiliates, each of you will need to sell one 3HP package a day. And since most of you will be advertising in the same online classifieds... Well, let's just say that $10,000 a month figure will require a LOT of daily online classifieds posting.
Then again, you don't need to sell only 3HP. You can apply the system to promote other products (assuming their affiliate program allows you to promote via online classifieds).
TIP: The biggest winner here is Dan Miller. Through the efforts of his affiliates--who paid for the training--he will earn $20 to $30 per 3HP package sold. He does not need to do too much of anything else, because his training program is already online. There's an important lesson here for all of us.
Hi Manuel
I understand....he is selling membership to a site that teaches how to, where and what to advertise online right? and mainly the person will be promoting this 3HP product to make affilliate dollars....
I haven't been inside the Members' Area, Kendra, but I have a feeling the training is generic enough and can be applied to products other than 3 Hour Profits. But if the members do not want to write headlines from scratch, or create image ads on their own, then they can make use of the ready-made examples (which promote 3HP).
In my personal opinion, website's are the only effective method of profiting from the internet.
Dear Mr. Viloria:
Your honest review along with the information that you've provided on the 3HP business has served to save me yet another headache on still another bunch of empty promises and cyber-space inflated hype.
I've been searching for a couple of years for a valid, meaningful way in which to make serious income via the internet. During that time, I've lost more money in matrix deals, straight line downlines, bi-levels, "automatic" builders that somehow always seem to fall frighteningly short of "automatically" doing much more of anything other than taking your monthly fee's without providing for anything in return.
I don't know that I've missed a lot that's out there, all in an ongoing effort to find something that is real. If you or your readers in fact know of ANYTHING that can actually produce a quick and reliable cash infusion, while hopefully building to something even greater, I would be one very grateful person to know of it.
My sincere thanks to you for this review and for your own level of integrity and honesty.
Thanks! As far as quick and reliable cash infusion is concerned online, well... You can try Vic Franqui's 100 BANS approach.
I am sooo brand new to the affiliate deal it is funny. Not really, I am doing over 300 ad's a day, but can only do classified ad's for free due to money. I wanted to "just" ask, will I ever make money in free classifieds, or do i have to do adwords or yahoo??
Thanks,
any help is great.
Jason
You might get lucky with free classifieds, if it so happens that your target market chances upon your posted ad. With so many people posting ads, it's amazing how yours will stand out. The key lies in posting often enough (but not too much) at the right place and the right time.
Now if only we knew when the ideal reader will be reading a particular classified ads page. That would make things much simpler, right?
(If you don't mind slaving away with free classifieds, then your efforts will be rewarded... eventually. Anyway, there are many different ways to make money online.)
Hi, I am looking to make money quickly. What is "Vic Franqui's 100 BANS approach." Please explain where i can find this method. Furthermore, I need to make some money by the end of the week. What do you suggest out side of surverys, ppc and waste of time activities like that. Often, I need to make just a quick 40 or so dollars, and I really could use some help on how to do it.
And one more question, many of your reviews say things like "he does not teach the "how" of making the money" Do you know of any good programs that teach the how, step by step.
I guess this reply is a little late - just came across the posts here today.
I had some crazy galoot spam my email with 89 email messages with the title:
"3HourProfits.com Ranked#1: Actual profits within 3 hours, Without A WEBSITE!"
I have been online for 7 years and I get thoroughly annoyed when I see this type of tripe.
It targets people who are in a desperate need to make money quickly online.
To be perfectly honest there is NO such quick fix online.
Yes you can make good money online - I am proof of that.
However like any legit business, you have to know what you are doing.
To get FREE info on how to start any online business and really profit.
I have set up the "Kimbro's Study" at http://www.kimbro.net
This is generic step by step information which you can apply to any online project.
Do yourselves a favor and don't join another program [including mine] until you arm
yourselves with some knowledge.
Cheers,
Kitty.
Hi Bro,
Man... I almost lost some hard-earned bucks with 3HP right now. I was about to subscribe when I realize that I need to research first and get to know more about the program. Good thing I landed on this site. Good job Manuel.
I tried reading their refund policy and that made me laugh. I would be more confident buying Chris X's products than join this program. Just recently decided to quit Affiliates Den because I was a total "newb"... Chris refunded the $77.00 within the day. Talk about client satisfaction right there.
To my fellow "onliners"... never join an internet program without looking for honest user reviews first and self (skills) evaluation. You can weigh things better before joining. I learned this lesson the hard way.

Hi Manuel,
I purchased 3 Hour Profits.
I collected 100 New Headlines.
I collected 100 New Ad Body's.
I collected 100 New Royalty Free Images.
I created hundreds of email addresses on my own domains.
I created HTML redirect files to 3 Hour Profits on 50 of my own domains.
I even created a 35 slide power point video to promote this product.
I spent countless hours organizing a plan from hand written notes to Spreadsheet.
Today I go to execute the plan and find I get the following message when anyone clicks on the order button.
"This product is no longer available for sale"
This is more than disappointing.
Yet another product than didn,t work.
